About the Methodist Church of Sumner, IA

To be a local church that stands on the historic creeds as professions of faith, kneels before the Lord to receive the gifts of grace in the sacraments of baptism and communion, and bows our hearts in praise and in prayer. All to God the Father, and in the powerful name of Jesus Christ, and in the real presence of the Holy Spirit. And to do all these things to the best of our understanding in a Wesleyan Methodist approach to holiness of life, both outward as well as all inward holiness.
